All Star Voting this Saturday

Author Hello everyone.
This Saturday All Star voting will be taking place at the West Boynton Park fields. Voting will be for players of the various Minors and Majors All Star Players as well as for Managers for Coach Pitch, Minors and Majors All Star teams.
Ballots will be available at the park. Each player and the coaching staff will be able to voting. Coaching staff voting is limited to the 3 or 4 official team coaches. In other words, not all 7 practices coaches can vote.
Managers, please plan accordingly. You can vote before or after your scheduled game on Saturday. Please have teams and team coaches vote at the same time.
Parents…please let the players vote. They do not need any whispers in their ears while they are voting. Please do that in the car on the way to the park.

Picture Make Up Day (night)
Hello. In the event you did not have the opportunity to take pictures this past Saturday, April 9th…your second chance will be Friday, April 29th.
All Juniors teams will be taking their pictures on the 29th…at the West Boynton Quad. And with the players and coaches all in one place at one time, All Star voting will also be held on the 29th.
A schedule for those known teams who need to have their pictures taken along with the Juniors teams will be released as the day approaches.

Fields are open tonight (Tue April 5th)
Hello everyone. The rain came through quickly today and as of right
now, the fields are open.
There is a small line of rain on the radar that may make its way to our
area…but if it does the rain is looking to be minimal and it should
pass quickly.
So all practices and games scheduled for tonight are on.
If there are any changes, the league will do it’s best to advise everyone.

2011 All Star Manager Candidates
The WBLL is looking for a few candidates for the following All Star Teams:
- District 7 Coach Pitch
- District 7 9 Year Olds
- District 7 10 Year Olds
- Little League International – 10 Year Olds
- Little League International – 11 Year Olds
- Little League International – 12 Year olds
- Little League International – Juniors (13 & 14 Year olds)
All current Managers and coaches are eligible to manager one of the teams above. If you are interested in being a manager of one of the teams above, please send an email by clicking here. In that email, please list the team that you are interested in managing. In the event you could be a candidate for more than one team, please list the teams in your email in the order in which team you would prefer to manage. Unless there is a lack of manager candidates, one can only manage one All Star team.
Prospective managers, before you throw your name into the hat(s), please take into consideration that the District Tournament teams will begin practice either right before or right after Memorial Day Weekend. You need to plan on your full participation lasting through the middle to latter half of June.
For the International Tournaments, practices will begin in the middle of June and games can last will into July…perhaps even longer. So please plan on your full participation during those times.
Voting for All Star Managers (and Players…9 year olds and up) will be in the next few weeks.
Potential Bad Weather In the Area Again
If you haven’t had a chance to look outside recently…to the north and
west…you are missing the storm front heading our way.
It’s now raining and rather gnarly up in West Palm Beach.
There’s a good chance the rain and bad weather will have passed by the
time practices/games are slated to start tonight. But depending on the
amount of rain…the fields may or may not be open tonight.
Please don’t forget the resources you have in the event games and
practices are canceled tonight. First check your email…then the
league’s web site…then the Facebook page…and finally your manager.

Picture Day – Saturday, April 9th
This Saturday, April 9th, is picture day. All players, coaches and team parents are invited to have their pictures taken. Even if you do not plan on buying any individual pictures, please plan on showing if only for the team picture. Other players who are buying pictures would appreciate the gesture as would the managers who receive a plaque with a team picture at the end of the season.
Here is a page from TSS Photography that contains links to things like the picture schedule and the order form. Plan on showing up 45 minutes are so before your scheduled game this Saturday.
To avoid delays during the day, thanks in advance for being on time and moving through the process.
