Make up Evaluations, registration and managers

Author Hello everyone. A bit chilly on Saturday for the evaluations but it could have been 96 degrees and 450% humidity, which it will be in a month or so anyways.
There will be a make up evaluation session on Saturday, January 21st. No times yet but they will be forthcoming soon and will be shared.
Registration continues but not online. The league will do its beat to keep players on a team to 12 or less. To do that registration at this point has to be monitored. If you still need to register, you should send an email to Gail Mootz.
Managers…..they are needed. All of this evaluation stuff….soon there will be talk of Opening Day (perhaps big change this year……hmmm?)….and talk of practice and games. But it all cannot happen without team managers. WBLL needs a few…..in the Coach Pitch and Minors divisions. Reach out to Josh Strikowski for

Online Registration Ends THIS Friday
Hello everyone. Now really starting to wipe the dust off the old keyboard since the Spring ’12 season is getting close being unwrapped.
The first step is to close online registration this Friday afternoon. This will allow the league to prepare for the player evaluations this Friday and Saturday. See post below for times of the Player Evaluations. You can look to the right for a link to start the registration process…or you can click right here.
YOU CAN REGISTER in person at the Evaluations on Friday and Saturday.
If you need to bring any address or birth verification information, you can do that as well.

Spring 2012 Evaluation Day
Hello everyone. Happy New Year and hopefully everyone had a joyous holiday season.
The Spring 2012 season is just around the corner. Here are a few important dates to remember.
SATURDAY JANUARY 14 is Evaluation Day for those in Coach Pitch, Minors and Majors. Times will be available soon but Coach Pitch can plan on a morning start….Minors can plan on a late morning start and the majors players should expect a start time in the early afternoon.
JUNIORS/SENIORS your Evaluation will be on Friday, January 13th (no superstitions, please).
PLAYER DRAFT the is scheduled for Saturday, January 28th. This is not like the NFL draft where players will be brought on stage a provided with a shirt and hat for TV cameras. This draft is for managers only. Players will be contacted by their managers shorty after the draft.
FIRST PRACTICE is set for the week of Feb 2nd.
The spring season will be here before you know it!,,
Fall 2011 Registration Re-Opens
Hello everyone.
Online registration has re-opened this week. There are quite a few spots in each division available.
Teams are limited to 12 players per team. So to start the registration process (for players AND volunteers), you can click here.
Online registration will remain open until Friday, August 19th.
Once the number of registrants per division is reached, waiting lists will be created.

Fall 2011 Registration – Now Open
Hello. Welcome to the WBLL Fall 2011 Registration cycle. From here, you will be able to register for the Fall 2011 Season…online.
A few things to consider for informational purposes….
- League Age Chart Fall 2011 & Spring 2012 – this will show you, based on the month and year a player was born, what division they will be in. Remember, the Fall Season is the season where those players who are making the jump from one division to another happens. This age chart applies to both the Fall 2011 and Spring 2012 seasons.
- WBLL Fall 2011 Information Flyer – this should (hopefully) provide you with all the information you need for the Fall 2011 season. If it does not…you can always send an email to wbllbod@wbll.us for more information.
- WBLL Boundaries – ALL players must reside within WBLL boundaries to play at WBLL. The only exceptions are those players who have recieved approval from Little League to play at WBLL. Little League has advised all local leagues in District 7 (Palm Beach County) that out of bounds players, unfortunately, will not be granted Out of Bound Waivers as Little League has in the past. If you are an out of bounds family who is new to WBLL….you must play at the league in whose boundaries you reside. If you are Out of Bounds Player who has been playing at WBLL in the past, you must first obtain Little League approval before being assigned to a team in the Fall. If you are an out of bounds family and are interested in continuing to play at WBLL, it is in your family’s best interest to start the process now. If you wait until right before the season starts….you will not be permitted to play at WBLL. For questions or concerns, please send an email to wbllbod@wbll.us.
- Proof of Age and Address – Little League requires proof of age (in the form of a birth certificate) as well as three RECENT documents establishing residency within WBLL Boundaries. These documents would be a drivers licenses, copy of utility bills, home owner’s insurance, rental agreement, etc. If you are new to WBLL, your player(s) will not be assigned to a team unless these documents are provided. If you are a returning WBLL player and are asked to provide this information, your player(s) will not be assigned to a team until this information is provided. You can provide these documents via email (hey man, use a scanner) to wbllbod@wbll.us. Certain dates will be announced in the near future where you can bring these documents to the field if scanning and emailing is not your cup of tea.

Teams formed and mangers should be contacting players
Hello everyone.
Over the past few days…all WBLL players should have been contacted by their managers. If you have not yet heard from your player’s manager, you can reach out to the appropriate DVP and let them know. Please see the list below and send an email to that person to let them know you are still waiting.

If your player(s) happened to miss the evaluation session last week, this is their last chance to be evaluated and thus be eligible for the draft which is scheduled for Saturday, January 29th.

Evaluation Saturday
Hello. Just in case of any late registrants for the Spring 2011 season, below is the Evaluation schedule for Saturday, January 15th:
Coach Pitch – Check in starts at 7.15am…Session starts at 8am
Minors – Check in starts at 9.30am…Session starts at approximately 10am
Majors – Check is starts at 11.15am…Session starts at approximately 12pm
Juniors/Seniors – Check in starts at 1pm…Session starts at approximately 2pm
For evaluations, your player will need to come prepared as if showing up for a practice. This includes appropriate attire (cleats, baseball pants and protective cups). They will also need to provide their own gloves, helmets and bats.
Each player will be asked to run, throw, catch/field balls and hit. In Minors and above pitching can also be evaluated.

Register Now and Save
Register by December 31st and save $10. The current cost of registration is $90 per player (with a $5 multi-player discount). All registrations after December 31st will be $100 per player (with a $5 multi-player discount). You can click here to start the registration process.

Looking for Sponsors
The backbone of the WBLL Spring seasons are sponsors. This spring 2011 season will again have more than 50 teams…now in 6 divisions…and more than 650 players and families. Spring 2011 Evaluations
For all divisions except Tee Ball….there is a mandatory evaluation session to be held on Saturday, January 15th. The evaluation is necessary since there is a draft for all divisions except for Tee Ball. Times for the evaluations will be released as the date approaches…but Coach Pitch players can plan on coming out first (i.e. early) to be followed by Minors, Majors, Juniors and Seniors. In the event you cannot make the evaluations…your player(s) will be assigned to a team after the draft.
