Regular Season Schedules Released

Hello all.  Sorry for the 24 hour delay.

The Coach Pitch division has 13 teams…which can present a challenge when attempting to create a balanced schedule.  WBLL tried to offset the unbalanced schedule by arranging inter-league play with another local Little League organization.  Simply…a team (or set of teams) from another local Little League would have become the 14th team of a 14 team division thus avoiding byes and holes in a schedule.  Unfortunately that did not work out with another local league.  As such, a 13 team schedule has been assembled for the Coach Pitch division.

You can get to the Spring 2011 Regular Season Schedules by clicking here (full URL is below).

Please remember, when you go to print your Calendar for posting on your local refridgerator, you must select the “Printable View” link under your teams schedule.  If you do not select the “Printable View”…there’s a good chance you are going to print everyone’s schedules and kill a few trees while doing so.

Enjoy your season!

Opening Day is less than two weeks away!

Opening Day is a week from this coming Saturday. If you need to pay the $25 for a family (which covers food, games and entertainment), please get your check made out to WBLL to your manager ASAP.  I believe the deadline has passed…but if you come with cash, someone will accept it.

Managers…you need to get packages (with checks and info) to your DVPs…ASAP.
DVPs…you need to get your packages to Wayne Barney…if not already…ASAP.

Please remember that Movie Night (movie to be announced this Friday) is set for next Friday at the fields.  Free popcorn (I believe) is in play just as last year.

Managers/Coaches/Players – if at all possible, please try to keep off the foul lines when warming up or doing any skill drills.  The grass takes a beating from getting painted on and from getting no water from the County.  When players/coaches come along and start warming up on the foul line or running drills with volunteers/players standing on the foul lines, it only speeds up the process of going from grass to dirt.

News Channel 5 will be at West Boynton Park tonight.  No, unfortunately they are not coming out to do a piece on your player or your player’s team.  The county gave the league a heads up that Channel 5 will be out at the park tonight…so the league is sharing with you.

Regular Schedules are just about completed.  The Coach Pitch division has only 13 teams so there is a good chance that a 14th team from another local Little League organization will jump in and play as the 14th team to balance out the schedule.  That will hopefully be finalized tonight.  Schedules are due to be released on Thursday evening.  Check your email and the league’s web site on Thursday evening or Friday morning.

Little League Bat Restrictions.  Little League continues to update their list of approved bats and approved composite bats.  For you Combat bat users/purchasers out there…nothing new to report.  For the full list of all approved bats, you can go here.  For the full list of approved COMPOSITE bats, you can go here.

Regular Season Schedules Released

Hello everyone.

On Saturday the Tee Ball Schedule was released.  The Coach Pitch, Minors and Majors division schedules are now also available.

You can get to the Fall 2010 Regular Season Schedules by going here.

All divisions but the Minors division (11 teams) have an even number of teams.  In the minors division, some teams will get one bye and others will have two during the season.  What is a bye?  Simply instead of playing two games a week…a team only plays once.

Tee Ball begins play this coming Saturday, September 11th.  (Please note that the Tee Ball game scheduled for Saturday, September 11th on Field 7 at 10am will be played Thursday, September 16th on Field 7 at 6pm).  Coach Pitch, Minors and Majors starts play on Monday, September 13th.

The Regular Season wraps up on Saturday, November 6th.  There will be a District 7 Fall County Tournament that will begin the weekend of November 12th/13th in which ALL teams from the Coach Pitch, Minors, Majors and Juniors/Seniors division get to participate.  Tee Ball will have its own tournament at the end of the Season.  More information on the District 7 County tournament will be available as the tournament approaches.

IF YOU WANT TO PRINT A SCHEDULE!!!!
Click on the team’s schedule you want to print.  THEN make sure you select “Printable View” which is located on the bottom of a team’s schedule (right above the next team’s schedule.).  That will open your team’s schedule in a new browser window where you can print.

If you print while looking at the entire division’s schedule, you will print the entire division’s schedule!

Regular Season Schedule

Hello everyone.

Although it is not an earth-shaking event like the release of the NFL schedule (thanks ESPN), the Fall 2010 Regular Season Schedule will be released on Monday, September 6th.  The Tee Ball Schedule will be released on Saturday, September 4th.

Schedules will remain pretty much the same.  If you are in Tee Ball…plan on having one game on Saturdays at 8.30am or 10am and one practice during the week.  If you are in Coach Pitch, Minors or Majors….plan on two games a week (one during the week and one on Saturdays).  Practices and batting cage sessions will be held during the week as well.

Thanks!
